CIN has a worldwide network with a global reach. A majority of our previous projects have focused on Central and Eastern Europe. However, many projects have also focused on China, the Middle East and the United States.

What is competitive intelligence?
Competitive intelligence is an early warning service that help decision makers to identify risks at an early stage in the decision making. Competitive intelligence monitors the competitive environment and profiles competitors to identify any unfair practices such as industrial espionage or aggressive market entries.

What kind of corporations use competitive intelligence?
Competitive intelligence is used in various industries such as the IT, pharmaceutical, automobile, food and beverage, and energy industry. The Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) estimate that U.S. corporations alone spend a total of $1 billion a year on competitive intelligence programs.

The Futures Group estimated in a survey that 82% of companies annual revenues over $10 billion had an organized system for collecting information on rivals. Of all surveyed U.S. companies it was estimated that 60% had an organized intelligence system.

Why are services to prevent industrial espionage so important?
Corporations are everyday subject to sophisticated industrial espionage by states and non-state actors, stealing trade secrests and know-how. A set of well designed protective measures can prevent massive financial and reputational losses.

The German Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) estimate how serious industrial espionage really is. BvF estimates that expertise and know-how worth EUR 50 billion a year is at risk due top industrial espionage in Germany alone. In addition, the German domestic intelligence service estimates that 40% of German companies are currently victims of industrial espionage.Finally the Austrian Interior Minsitry estimates that industrial espionage in Austria can cause economic damage to a total of EUR 5 billion per year.

CIN designs security and risk management systems, performs independent audits of current systems,and provide training and education.

Yes. CIN complies with current national and international standards and best practices such as ISO 31000 and ONR 49000 series.

Why do you offer training and education?
We are aware that many corporations have their own security and risk management structures in place or have integrated our services. CIN offers seminars to fill existing knowledge gaps that exist among key personnel and enable organizations to improve and stay up to date with current standards to better meet new threats and challenges.

Do you provide close protection services?
We offer, as part of our security and risk management services, access to professional militaries with Special Forces backgrounds, who are equipped with specific knowledge on how to train personnel, secure and protect critical infrastructure sites and targets (resident buildings, energy infrastructure, supply routes, events, and key personnel).
